LIGHT YOUR HOME WITH

ENERGY EFFICIENT GLOBES

Energy efficient bulbs called Compact Flourescent Lamps (CFLs) are a practical option that are widely available on the market. They use about 75% less energy than incandescent bulbs and last over 10 times as long. In fact, you can save up to $19 per bulb a year in electricity costs.

Today’s CFLs are much more attractive than the older style of fluorescents – they don’t buzz or flicker and they provide a much wider spectrum of light including the option of a ‘warm’ light.

LOWER THE ENERGY USED BY HOT

WATER SHOWERS

Hot water heating is one of the biggest uses of energy in our homes.

Using less of it is another way to easily save power. Having your conventional shower head replaced by a more efficient one reduces the litres per minute usage, whilst still maintaining a good amount of water pressure.

CUT OUT STANDBY POWER

Hot water heating is one of the biggest uses of energy in our homes.

Even when your television or computer is switched off, it is still using energy. Standby power accounts for more than 10% of household electricity use. Standby savers detect when you switch off your television or computer, and cuts all power. Power is then automatically resumed using your existing remote or by simply turning the computer back on.
